If you are thinking about remodeling your bathroom, doing the demolition yourself is a great way to save some money. Most bathrooms include some form of tile whether they are ceramic or granite - you can remove them the same way. In this video, the contractor demonstrates how to remove bathroom tiles from the shower walls.
Once you have successfully removed the tile from your walls or floor, you will need to remove the left over thinset and mastic from your floor surface. This will allow you to relay a new floor over a smooth surface. In the next video, you will see how to use an electric scrapper tool to easily and effortlessly remove the thinset from your previous tile job.
Whether you are handy enough to lay the new tile yourself or not should not matter - doing the demolition and tile removal does not require any previous knowledge besides what is on these videos. All you need is some elbow grease and the right tools to get the job done and same a lot of money!
